Event "Facebook like"

Hi everyone,

Me and my team were discussing about noosfero's event, and we would like to
implement an event like the event of Facebook, seems like a community where
you can comment about the event, display all the information and choose if
you are going or not.

Would be this feature welcomed by the noosfero community? If it would, this
should be a plugin or a new feature to the core?
