In my view, the use of a CDN should be a choice of the site operator, not the Noosfero software. Which CDN is most appropriate depends on a lot of things, like the geographical locations of the site's users and political considerations of the site's operators. So I agree, any use of CDNs should be configurable by the site's admin (and optional).
